PHUKET: -- Staff and rescue teams at Phuket International Airport will carry out an emergency tsunami drill today (June 2).

The exercise will start at 6pm at the yet-be-complete Terminal 2 and move to the airport catering facility about a kilometre away.

Rescue teams will simulate their full co-ordinated response to an underwater earthquake hurtling a tsunami towards Phuket.
