ratcatcher
No blame seems to have been apportioned as of yet. No " faulty brakes, rainy conditions, sleepy driver". We shall find out soon no doubt. Hopefully, the driver is not too badly injured.

Naroge
The wet stuff is probably petrol/diesel or LPG on the way to evaporate. In any way it should be highly flammable. A miracle that the whole place is not on fire.

swissbie
Everybody -except the driver - had been lucky, it was only diesel leaking. Horrible thaught of 30'000 litres of liquid gas exploding.. They closed Boromratchonnani in both directions for a few hours which lead to a heavy congestion.

NOT a good idea, Diesel is nasty stuff in a waterway. LPG is a liquid gas, it will boil unpressurized . Those tanks are very tough, if one ruptures you will have a disaster on a large scale. Good to see the Thai drivers testing them reguarly

swerver
And if Somchai passing in his 'Tuner flicks his cigarette but out the driver's window..........? Interesting you mention that, "Flick his cigarette". Reminds me of the inferno on Soi Asoke decades ago when gasoline trucks following in convoy crashed into each other and everryhting was fine, till some idiot lighted his cigarette and flick the match. The rest is history. The law was changed then that fuel tankers were not allowed to travel in convoy. Such is life in LOS

gandalf12
And if Somchai passing in his 'Tuner flicks his cigarette but out the driver's window..........? For the record LPG is known in the industry as Condensate and is roughly 10 times more flammable than benzene. Just a point of interest for anyone who may be interested

rosst
In Thailand who does the job they are paid for with out making problems for innocent people ,monks don't ,police don't ,government don't ,bus drivers don't ,lorry drivers don't taxis don't and on and on Damn, which school of perfection did you go to?? Settle down with the negativity, so far it is an "accident" which has been reported. How about we wait before condemning the whole bloody nation ?? OK goody two shoes, give it your best shot now, have a coffee, cheer up and book a ticket home if you can afford it. You pay a price for perfection, the developed world and it's expensive way of life is the result, you get what you pay for.
Brer Fox
Don't tell me it was raining?? Rain is responsible for so may road deaths in Thailand. Can PM Prayuth please order the rain to fall In the drought stricken areas rather than on the roads. That way many lives will be saved.
George FmplesdaCosteedback
And if Somchai passing in his 'Tuner flicks his cigarette but out the driver's window..........? That reminds me of the dynamite truck that crashed in about 1990. All was well until some of the locals decided to see if there was anything worth having "off the back of a lorry" so to speak. This includes doing a job they are responsible for or taking responsibility for any mistake or failure. The extreme example of this is the regular conspiracy by officials to invent excuses to prevent blame from being carried by anyone so no-one loses face.
