ThaiTony2 Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 If the police were expecting to make a significant raid, they should have used all those 100 police to raid the bunch of those establishments all in the same first night raid and Not wait until all the illegal activity has time to make the stench go away. It's just another clear example of where the police are not thinking thru on their intelligent planning.
ThaiTony2 Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 As a side note, these drug tests have a very high rate of false positives. It's extremely evil to rely on them alone to base a conviction. Yes, so what do you suggest? If you had to submit believing in what you're stating, what course of action would you take to ensure that the false positive doesn't reflect poorly on you as an example.

Possession of actual drugs, not just a positive on some unreliable test. Really, I don't know why anyone submits to them. What are they going to do, put you in jail until you take it?
meatboy Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 raiding a few massage palours doesnt save live's.why dont they sort out why people by the hundreds are killed every month, drunk drivers, speeding drivers. under age drivers,or is that tooooooooooooooo difficult.
wirat69 Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 Cracks me up to think of crackdown in a massage parlour!!!
Thailand Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 Nothing more than showtime! Too much money involved, and those involved are often in the show.
nev Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 A lot of the girls working these parlours do so to keep up there so called hiso lifestyle, latest iPhone designer bags and clothes don't come cheap.
LannaGuy Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 so Walking street and Nana Plaza next? don't think so... the hypocrisy and what's the point of it all? license it like Philippines and have girls wear ID showing age and STD check
MichaelJohn Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 I wonder if the police and governments efforts would be more fruitful if they were to check on more obvious crimes as nothing seems a miss in massage parlours. Perhaps, road traffic offences (where a many people are killed), boating safety (where many tourist have been killed recently), illegal fishing (crucial to Thailand's economy) and aircraft safety (which is an accident waiting to happen). Like most activities; everyone knows where the crimes are except the police who chase their tail on fruitless endeavors?
exbikey Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 So it would seem that prostitution is now legal in Thailand, a recent change of law that was passed unbeknown to many? Don't get me wrong, it should be legal within controlled guidelines. Prostitution has never been "illegal" in Thailand. It's regulated under various pieces of legislation. Yes it has and actually it still is! ... This was replaced by the Prevention and Suppression of Prostitution Act of 1996: “Any person, being over sixteen years of age, subsists on the earning of a prostitute, even if it is some part of her incomes, shall be punished with imprisonment of seven to twenty years and fined of fourteen thousand to forty thousand Baht, or imprisonment for life."... So if said 'person, being over sixteen years of age' was actually being arrested by one of RTP's finest, said 'person (etc)' could be imprisoned for between seven to twenty years and fined between 14 & 40k. The obvious thing would be to knock back a can of a famous energy drink, borrow the Ferrari or Benz of the latest flavor of the month and run over said member of the RTP's finest. That way you get off scott-free and get to take an extended holiday in Singers. Alternatively, said 'person (etc)' could simply don the robes and take up residence in a Temple (preferably one with lots of cash), taking this route you still get off scot-free, don't have worry about the niceties of owning a drivers licence plus you have the added advantage of being able to stay in Thailand. Sorry "shawn000" for the edit, I didn't need the rest of your informative and knowledgeable post.
NongKhaiKid Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 What's going on with this, who actually owns the parlours and who / what is prompting these raids. ? In the past if was often police syndicate against another police syndicate, police against army and vice versa. Due to what damaging information may be revealed if the full truth was to come out I think we can forget about any transparency, again !
soalbundy Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 The junta obviously disapprove of places where lonely men can find female company and sexual fulfillment, and young ladies can earn some much needed cash. Not many road fatalities occur in brothels. The pointless stupidity of it all. You mean where sad old perverts can find sexual fulfillment with underage girls at bargain rates and these underage girls will reach adulthood mentally damaged all for the sake of earning some extra cash to help support their families. I agree with you your grace, let the families starve, that will teach them to go and get a good education
neverdie Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 "Handcuffs, check Video camera, check Rubber gloves, check Orgy pack of condoms, check Strap on's, check Rubber fist, check Okay lads let's begin" Sounds like the check list you need to join the mango boys. Of course they only use oversized fists.
natway09 Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 Then you have just answered your own question. No underage, no drugs & no foreign illegal workers. I will take the envelope back to my boss & you can carry on trading. Thank you .....starting to worry where to go this afternoon
MyFriend You Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 Annies Bar & Massage on Soi 2 opened up in 1972, and is still going strong.........anyone remember "Thai Heaven" on Suriwongse Road with over 150 girls, all in cute nurse uniforms, heard it burned down in the mid eighties.
Mook23 Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 so Walking street and Nana Plaza next? don't think so... the hypocrisy and what's the point of it all? license it like Philippines and have girls wear ID showing age and STD check And hand out catalogues with pictures/numbers of the girls on the plane together with immigration cards and rename the country into Bangland! The future looks bright!!!
thaiguzzi Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 I'll take the one with the red top please. Full on soapy with all the extras....
Basil B Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 After the Nataree raid of course all the underage girls etc have been told stay home. When it dies down it will all be back to normal. More probably all massage parlours took a second look at all employees ID's. They also made sure all their "payments books" were not on the premises. As for staff taking drugs, you can not test your staff for drugs so you can not be responsible if a member of staff takes drugs but if you know then better to ditch them from the payroll, of course if there is dealing or a quantity of drugs found on the premises one can expect the business to be shut down.
PlastikbinLina Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 After the Nataree raid of course all the underage girls etc have been told stay home. When it dies down it will all be back to normal. Thank goodness. Glad you told me that, I was quite worried
Mook23 Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 I'll take the one with the red top please. Full on soapy with all the extras.... that's the only transgender available indeed! his extras are notorious so i was told !!!!!
retarius Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 Why not crackdown on something bad like crime, people trafficking or driving without a license? These crackdowns on Euro betting and massage parlours, easy arrests that benefit almost no-one except the BIB

These crackdowns on Euro betting and massage parlours, easy arrests that benefit almost no-one except the BIB These raids are, supposedly, about cracking down on underage prostitution and people trafficking. At the Nataree raid, underage girls were found together will non-Thais working illegally. At the more recent raids all the girls were of legal age and working legally, so no action taken.

I agree with you your grace, let the families starve, that will teach them to go and get a good education Your comment says a lot about you. So you believe that in certain circumstances kids and underage girls prostituting themselves can be justified? I have nothing against the sex trade and think it should all be legalised to eradicate the seedy and criminal elements from it, but even if one kid or underage person is caught plying their trade in these glorified brothels calling themselves something else should be shut down without question. I am dead against anyone or anything that caters to pedophiles that obviously you are not.

These crackdowns on Euro betting and massage parlours, easy arrests that benefit almost no-one except the BIB Exactly and nobody is thinking about those poor 20+ years old girls victims of such crackdowns... The trauma.... I am willing to accommodate them for a week until the initial shocks wears out... I have a big bathtub in case they want to keep practicing...
bamukloy Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 So it would seem that prostitution is now legal in Thailand, a recent change of law that was passed unbeknown to many? Don't get me wrong, it should be legal within controlled guidelines. Why do you say that? Registered and licenced massage parlours are perfectly legal here. Obviously no other, illegal, activity was happening at the time of the raid. Amazing the number of posters who think that massage/entertainment places are illegal. It goes back to the thinking that all massage workers are pros. Usually sprouted by the "I chose better than you" crowd
Rhys Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 OK..getting warm ...staying off the places by the hospitals.55555
