You are referring to Buddhism.

Where did the Buddha teach that one can kill because it was another's Karma?

We spoke earlier of man's attachments to greed, hatred and delusion.

If a guy kills using kharma to justify it, then he is deluded.

Kharma is an adjective.

A doing word.

In other words "what I do in life (kharma)" will bear fruit.

Thailand is becoming more like Brazil it seems, life is cheap and guns eveywhere

Hi lucky man.

I hope you're not American.

There are conservatively 347 million guns in the U.S.

Wiki quotes 82,000 non fatal shootings and 11,000 homicides, and 21,000 suicides in 2013.

This excludes legal shootings.

The toll is so great most never make the media.

10 times greater than the Iraqi war toll which caused Obama to pull the troops.

Somehow if you get shot at home it's cool.

Does this put Thailand in perspective?

if you wouldnt mind can you collect all the stats from every other country in the world

post them here with commentary on each one, you know to put Thailand in "perspective"

so we can get back to discussing Thailands issues on a THAI forum?

And to convenient that the consequences from kharma only come upon you in the 'next life'

I'd say many are getting the most value out of it, seeing their shit meter is already overflowing.

There is no next life for the Ego (killer) in Buddhism, reincarnation is Hinduism or Brahmanism.

In terms of excuses for killing, take your pick, all killers, Thai or otherwise will have their reason.

I honestly believe that ThaiVisa should set up a new subheading under Community.

To be called "Xxxxxxxxxxx's & Zzzzzzzzz's".

This story is about one man killing another. It doesn't matter if it was a gun, knife, stick, or chewing gum. If someone want's to kill another person, they will find a way. It just happens that a gun is very efficient at doing it's job. I, for one, am done arguing with people who are at an obvious disadvantage. Believe what you like. At the end of the day, people kill people, the weapon is of no consequence.

Agreed.

"At the end of the day, people kill people, the weapon is of no consequence." But tell that to the NRA - it is ALL about the weapon to them. sad.png

Thailand is a dangerous country. Life can end when one least's expect it. Being prepared for the unexpected means nothing. Cross your fingers and wear an amulet and hope for the best. You have no control over place and time.

People see what they want to see.

I'd suggest the U.S. is far more dangerous, just more sophisticated.

Brain dead opinion.
