Hi guys , my wife has to do this test in Bangkok for her settlement visa application , any info on getting a date sooner than the 15th July that I just checked online for ? Any info on the price ? I was quoted almost 9000 baht , oh and the actual date was 14 th July with a " note " that the sitting test was 15th July , do you know if this means she goes back the next day for the written test ? Very confused , ( as usual )

Help and assistance will be much appreciated

There is no writing test. You can book it at IDP or British Council (their prices might differ). Make sure you book IELTS Life Skills A1, not the regular IELTS test. The test takes about 20 minutes.

Many thanks , I checked online and the earliest date for the test is 14th July , in your experience is this a reasonable wait ? There was only one option centre to go too as well and I'm sure this was the IDP centre in Bangkok ,

Tests are only held about twice a month. There are two test centres in Bangkok, IDP and British Council but the test is exactly the same. I'm biased in favour of IDP as I work there!
