Featured Replies

Most of the lighting fixtures come from a company owned by a famous offical in pattaya. Go figure hey.

This is the "good" side of the tracks. There are no nefarious transactions here. whistling.gif

I wish there were some nefarious transactions on this street...what do you know that i don't? ?

Let there be light...

To repeat for those unfamiliar with this area...this street goes on in a straight line for a couple kilometers! We on this street now have what must be the best illuminated street in all Pattaya ?

There's something wrong with this picture. I can't quite put my finger on it - just a moment, folks....

Ahh...

... of course ...

That's not in the area we've been discussing. But I agree that there are a few such "unauthorized local dumps" over here. I'd like to see the authorities take action to clean that up. Perhaps it will happen as they expand the areas being redone. Based upon what we're seeing now, there appears to be some reason for hope that it could happen.

Of course not - at least not that particular road. I was teasing (not sure where that pix was taken). But as you say, you don't have to stray too far from Patanakarn Rd to see similar sights - I do a lot of riding around the eastern reaches of Nong Prue and trash dumped on the side of the road is not uncommon. I sometimes take leftover food down to the far end of Huay Chak Nok for one particular little mutt, but always make sure I retrieve the bags and things and dump them in a bin.

BTW, took my first ride along P road tonight since it was finished, and those lights are truly bizarre. It makes no sense. Would like to have seen a cycle track along there.

I noticed that electrical wires are resting on the decorative baskets, someone will have the shock of their life, some day!

All the crap at the side of the road on the dark side has been moved over to Pattaya's landfill site - otherwise known as every back soi off Jomtien 2nd road....

Great - it's Not In My Back Yard anymore.

Joking

I think you'll find it's still scattered around over here - in a big way - perhaps the litterbugs felt Jomtien was just a tad too pristine and needed the Thai touch.
