Public is encouraged to join temples in charting prayers for Their Majesties

BANGKOK: -- The Sangha Supreme Council has instructed all temples throughout the country to chant prayers for their Majesties the King and Queen every Monday and Friday starting this evening (Monday).

Prime Minister’s Office Minister Suvaphan Tanyuwatthana said today that the monastic order had written two prayers for monks to chant every Monday and Friday which are the birthdays of HM the King and HM the Queen respectively on the occasions of the King’s 70th anniversary of his accession to the throne and the Queen’s 84th birthday anniversary.

Members of the public are also asked to chant prayers to bless Their Majesties the King and Queen.

The chanting of prayers will start today from 4 pm to 5 pm at Phra Pathom Chedi in Nakhon Pathom. While the chanting at Wat Sam Phraya will be held on July 1 from 4 pm to 5 pm.
