Not all of it can be "waved away that she was mentally unstable".... There are plenty of crimes in human trafficking that should keep her imprisoned for the rest of her life based on it alone and the fact that she definitely was well organized and her behaviour proves that she was aware of the consequences (denial of charges, multiple passports, diplomatic passports, changing her name etc.)

I worry that she has enough dirt on others and money to make everything eventually go away. The US should make it clear that if it is not handled in a clear and transparent way... Thailand will drop on the Human Trafficking report again.

In fact under the rules and laws about investigation and evidence he is probably breaking all these rules by making such statements and possibly putting a conviction at risk, and therefore should be punished for commenting and also removed totally from the case and not allowed anywhere near the other investigators. Unless he's qualified comments about her mental state are completely wrong but nothing wrong with planting the idea as early as possible.

Similarly, comments about her marriages etc all part of portraying her as unstable which adds to suggestions that nothing she says can be believed especially allegations of involvement with senior police etc.

100% agree. Why would any police official stand in front of the public and lay a claim of mental instability (which only a qualified doctor should be making) unless there is some other agenda. Just because a woman falls into the classic "black widow" category does not make her mentally unstable. She is more of a manipulative, conniving POS than anything.

I am sure she is smart enough to use the mental problems defense without the police pointing it out. If she is not smart enough her lawyers will be as the police seem to have laid the groundwork for this defense out of doctors care and back in business in a couple months.

But the day before she was smart enough to drive to phitsanulok on her own and went to Police there, to withdraw 4 other cases that she had accused others that were still under investigation. Smart enough to manipulate her victims. Who owns the nineteen passports which has been found in her house?
Where is her missing driver? Where is the other thai lady who is an owner of a condo went missing after she transferred ownership of the condo and land to an aide of Gai?
Who are her police friends and helpers? A fast full investigation looks different. Will be back backers protected and shielded?
Until now, there are no other arrested from this girl trading mafia.
Why not?

All serious criminals have mental problems, that is no excuse here for a special treatment, or a license for a 5 star sanatorium.

she went to police station after her trip to Phitsanulok not becos she was there to answer to the summons to her case from the courts, how could she know since the court orders were not out yet?

She was there to cancel/withdraw the 4 other ongoing cases that she has falsely accused of others that r still ongoing to do some damage control.

I cannot help but feel sorry for an old woman going thru this ordeal, but each time I felt that, I remember NooNa, Sunkanya, Nong Goy and many others and their families and what they had to gone thru just because they refused to kowtow to this evil "lady" and I stop knowing this is the beginning of a just punishment for her.

And why did she get a diplomatic passport issued to her at the express request and insistence of the PTP Yingluck government?

Without speculation, which is what web forums stimulate, and debate, then why bother commenting?

Her current husband seems to be keeping a low, very low, profile.

It seems very likely that, given the proliferation of complainants, coming forward, this was not a small time operation. Local police have acted on her complaints and people have been imprisoned seemingly purely based on her say so.

Now she has been charged and placed on remand she's suddenly mentally unstable. No mention of why previously police acted on her word without any other evidence, whether their actions will be investigated, why such repeated complaints didn't raise any red flags with police, the follow up on the passports found at her apartment and taken by the CSD police, the checking of her bank accounts and source of wealth etc etc etc.

She could be imprisoned, or declared mentally unfit. The latter means although she avoids real punishment the loss of face might devastate her depending how thick skinned she is. But I doubt "they" don't really care what happens to her now. The focus is on limiting any collateral damage being some local cops on the take from her or involvement of some very well known or connected people. This "away with the fairies" is an early part of conditioning the public, She's crazy, lost contact with reality, can't believe a word she says, imagines all sorts of important people are her friends, invents stories about them - you can see the way this is heading.

But, they can't make that diplomatic passport issuing go away, nor that it was issued at the YL government's insistence, Someone might be in the poo on that one!
