I should be quiet, but i just WON 500+ million USD dollars

Featured Replies

So someone in Indiana won 500+ million USD dollars. I hate that person, and wish them only bad luck!!!!!!!! lol

So the question is......Let's say YOU just won this massive lottery (I know, I know, maybe ONLY 200 million after taxes), would you stay in LOS?

Yea, you bought the ticket and immediately got on the plane to LOS. Now you know you won. But you know and like LOS.

I still wouldn't buy a place in LOS. I would likely travel to about every city in the Kingdom and then decide. I would likely then travel France, Germany, UK, Spain, etc....nothing to crazy, just "safe" countries. Then decide where to buy.

so, would you stay in LOS?

let's not kid ourselves, LOS is a lot cheaper than other countries and that is a draw.

I agree with the part of your post where you say "I should be quiet".

imagine how many bowls of mamma noodles one could buy with that sort of coin. And you could endless laps around Pattaya in the baht bus.

Grouse !

500million dollars, they will receive approx 280 million after taxes. The 280 million is paid over a period of time. You can sell your 280 million dollars for around 200 million dollars for a one time payment. 200 million dollars is still an obscene amount of money for any one person to posess. Should cap the lottery at 25 million dollars and have more winners.

I would buy an island in the Caribbian and move out of here.

Funny. I'd probably move to Manhattan but travel a lot, especially in winter.

I would buy Manchester City football club and an island in Montenegro. Travel around the world, Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore, China and Japan. Carry 8 mobile devices around with me and pretend to divorce my wife. All while interferring in Thai politics.

I'd live like I do now. But I'd have everything I own gold-plated.

I'd enjoy the scrambled eggs at Kappadeli more often...and maybe have a second cappuccino.

I'd move somewhere just like Thailand, but with actual sidewalks (clear ones) and a sense of neighborhood. Where is that?

Start flying 1st class.Wait 200 million.I mean buy A Lear jet,lol.

I guess you could build your own.

I would buy TV and become your benevolent dictator.

Don't be ridiculous.

Nice thought BUT...... how about you tell us if you still feel the same way AFTER you win the BIG ONE !

Ugh I took a look at the golden scrambled eggs again and they look too good. It is your fault if I bankrupt myself eating there sometimes.

Whoever would sell 280,000,000 for 200,000,000 is nuts. 80 million buys you a good line of credit. You can buy anything you want unless you are planning to go to the casino and put 200 mil on red or something equally crazy.

And if you chose to live in Thailand would one still complain when 7-Eleven rounds one's utility bill payment up to the nearest 25 satang.

I'd stay in Thailand. Probably travel more than I do now.

Probably give most of it away since I couldn't take it with me and the time for that final departure isn't likely to be that far off.

I would put it all in a U.K savings account.

In other words you'd gamble a second time.

Seeing as I'm not an American. I'm SOL, so I'll stay in LOS.

I would catch a 1st class flight to Vegas , rent a luxury suite for many months and become a VIP and socialize with the rich and famous before gamble it all away .

If I did not commit suicide after that I would save money for a return ticket back to Thailand so I can continue living the Cheap Charlie life.

Transfer it out of the United States to a tax free haven country, buy a new citizenship and passport and put my USA passport in the shredder and post it back to them.... :)

Uncle Sam would not get 280million of my 500 if I could help it...
