Hmm... nothing to do with cheap unskilled labour then... :o

Honestly.. most of the aussies I have seen working in London are so dopey it's a wonder they can actually manage to walk, let alone get on a plane ... :D

Good come back, Tots. :D

Aussies are quite happy to do menial tasks in London. Casual work has the psychological advantage of not being permanent. What Aussie in his right mind would want to be permanently employed in a land with a population of tossers. :D

If Aussies look a little dopey over there, it's a sign that they are ready to get back on the plane.

Every Aussie knows that the best place in the UK is Heathrow Airport.....on the way home. :D

I was a 10 quid kid in Oz. I wish my folks had decided to stay in Oz rather than move back to the old country :o

What's even worse - when I was in the merchant navy I was offered a job as a radio inspector in Sydney and I turned it down. What a dumb b*st*rd I used to be :o

radio inspectors were not that popular in the illegal CB days

Nah, this was just an inspector for marine radio - certification for ship's radio installations. Usually involved visiting a ship, giving the nod to the radio shack and spending the rest of the day drinking ship's beer :o
