I think it is a great idea since it is just reimbursing the importer for the tax they have to pay, but I don't see how it could be done since it would be hard to prove that the cost increase was all from the tariff unless they prove otherwise. The importer would have to tell the retailer how much of the tariff they were passing along, and the retailer would have to inform the customer how much of that increase they were willing to eat. -
