Where to get moving boxs?

Featured Replies

I seen some really small ones (like file boxs) at Global house, but would like some bigger ones to start packing up stuff for a local move soon.  Has anyone seen a place around town that has them in stock?

I think there was a thread about this some time back, but ever since the TV update, the search function has not been working for me.

This is a cut and paste.  I've never been there.....

There is a carton factory a five minute walk from the Phra Khanong BTS station that manufactures very sturdy cartons and sells them for a reasonable price.

Directions/BTS Go to Phra Khanong BTS and use exit #3. At the base of stairs walk in the direction of traffic 100 meters and turn left onto Soi 69 (Family Mart) Walk 100 meters and take first right. Shop is about 70 meters on the right side; you will see stacks of cartons. Closed Sundays.

HOMEPRO--I've used them numerous times--not expensive plus the tape to seal them

that's useless in C.M. but good to know in BKK.

On Suthep Road, west of canal road, before the food stalls start setting up late afternoon... is a guy who sells boxes of all sizes.

He is set up on the sidewalk. Boxes are generally used but very good condition. Perfect for moving.

he also charges about 200% more than anywhere else for (used) boxes!

A box factory (see suggestions above) would be the best bet. When I moved from BKK to here I found a factory that had many leftover boxes that were available at a very low price (like 5 to 10 baht/box). Left with 30 boxes meant for transporting pineapples. Very strong and ideal for the purpose (even had cutout holes for grips, like proper moving boxes).

Thanks for all the info.  I think I remember that packing place out by Bor Sang now that it was mentioned.  I'll give them a try.
