toofarnorth
A bit different from " I am on a years overstay " I have tried several times to find someone here in Los to read and play some sheet music I have. What makes this special is that these few sheets of music were hand written in 1917 in an internment camp at Alexandra Palace. My grandfather was German but lived in England and the music got passed down from there. If anyone thinks they can read and play it but have doubts I can post a pic. of a bit of it on here. You have your staff, the five lines e g b d f, and the four spaces f a c e, your sharps and flats. one sharp G, two sharps A etc, the same for any instrument. Piano music has 2 staves, bass clef (bottom) for left hand and treble clef (top) for right hand,. Far too many notes to read all at once ! rogeroc
Agreed the problem could be the quality of the hand written music, would be good if we could just see a small extract we could assist.
