Is there an equivalent in Thailand to the legal seperation agreement back home?

I assume I can just go to a lawyer and get a legal document to prove seperation, both of us sign in front of lawyer. I need something that would be legal proof back home that I am seperated.

Any comments?

In Thailand you are single, married or previously married. There is no status of separated - instead separation is something that is proved to a Court after 3 years when seeking a divorce on this ground.

If your wife is prepared to sign a solicitor's letter and that will work in your country then go for it.
