Lets be blatantly honest, bridges fall down and kill people, houses/building fall down and kill people, none of their building workers have qualifications or have done apprenticeships, they refuse to get help to solve serious crimes so they dont lose face, the list just keeps going on. Thailand is a great place to live but these protectionist laws are absolute bullsh*t and simply cause more problems than they are worth. There is nothing wrong with getting people with a lot more knowledge in certain fields to come here and help, all it does is keep the totally under qualified thais in a job they cant really do properly, the examples are everywhere I was thinking of what I could do to help your existence in Thailand. I re worded your post just a bit to make more sense for you to use if you ever should need to be admitted to a Thai Hospital. You could have a card printed to hand the admitting nurse or physician with the following headline Especially In This Hospital Dear Doctor I think you are all idiots. Will you ever wake up to the fact that a lot of the problems you have in Thailand are due to not allowing non Thais to do things. They were paid above minimum wage - more than equivalent Thai workers. There are a couple of million workers from Burma and Laos because Thailand has a labor shortage and the jobs pay twice as much as in Burma and Laos.
