PHUKET: -- Two men arrested for breaking open and stealing items from a Japanese tourist’s rented motorbike at Karon Beach have been identified as wanted for at least 10 other criminal cases, including previous thefts and drug charges.

Suspects Wanchai ThongKliang, 25, from Nakhon Sawan, and Suppanat Chobkhat, 21, Nakhon Sri Thammarat, were presented to the press at Karon Police Station on Friday (Sept 2).

Wanchai and Suppanat were arrested earlier on Friday after police stopped and searched them on the road between Chalong and Karon, explained Lt Col Pornarong Karnorachai, Inspector at Karon Police.

Got this parade in before the PM's announcement.

Glad to see they were caught.

Really great effort by the Life Guard to step up like that.

Looks like a dumb-ass and his ladyboy friend.  Looks also like the police recovered a knife in their room.

Typically, they were wanted for a string of similar offences so it beggars the question "how many times have they benefited from the RTP's apparent "catch and release" policy"?

They were wanted, your presumption they were caught earlier and released again is based on nothing but your own though process. For offences like this people are locked away for a long time in Thailand, so really is no catch and release policy.

Did the cops knock them off their bike, or did these two crash recently?  The story doesn't really say only that they were caught between Chalong and Karon.  How do they both have road rash on their knees, seems an awkward way to fall.

Phuket serial thieves arrested , either pay Serial bribes, or pay Serial fines , or face Serial photo-ops, followed by Serial apologies.

I thought that the good general had issued an order to stop these finger pointing charades.

Didn't last long did it?

Caught.
Pay tea money .
Released.

Never brought into a station.
No paper work.

Wake up.

I was totally confused cos i read the title and saw 2 men arrested but see 1 female looking one as one of the suspects and they usually announce it as a ladyboy so i suppose he's undergoing transition.
