Phuket or pattaya?

I really didn't know where to start this thread and i guess it might create biasness for pattaya but i need to start it somewhere don't i?

 

If a tourist wanted to visit phuket or pattaya which one would be the better choice.

Oh yeah this has nothing to do with being a tourist but which mafia is more dangerous? Is phuket more of a cowboy town?

Both utterly ghastly for differing reasons, go somewhere decent, almost anywhere is better than these two destinations.
