57 Year Old Danish Man Found Dead on Koh Ma in Surat Thani Province

SURAT THANI – Pol Lt Saengrot Somrotrat  reported to Thai media that police discovered the already decomposing body of  a 57-year-old Danish man on Koh Ma, a tiny island adjacent to the north-west of Koh Phang in Surat Thani province.

Koh Phangan Provincial Police Station Pol Lt Saengrot told reporters officers, emergency physicians and supporting rescue volunteers to examine the scene where police discovered the already decomposing body of Jasper Larsson (name transcribed), 57, from Denmark in a densely forested area.

Police recovered a small bag containing his passport, prescription pills and an aparent suicide letter written in Danish. In the letter Larsson wrote “Please don’t make a big thing out of this and please take care of my rented scooter.” He also said that he would like to be cremated at a temple on Koh Phangan.

It was very considerate of him to worry about the scooter and it's owner at such a tragic time in his life.

re rented that ......

"body of Jasper Larsson (name transcribed)  ....  Police recovered a small bag containing his passport"

why they offer the transcribed name when having the original name and passport on hand?

Probably didn't want a gang of muaychete wielding hoodlums chasing him into the afterlife for monies owed!

Another sad tale ... if he had gone home to Denmark (generally considered one of the happiest places to live) he might have been helped. RIP.
