I have an ZTE Blade mobile phone and the software gives me continu problems.

I have seen the the software "Cyanogenmod" for the device is available with the drivers and the Google package.
But I fear to flash the phone myself.

Is there anybody (living in Thailand) who has experience with this and is willing to do that for me?

OK to send me a PM.

I pretty much flash every phone i have but flashing a Cyanogenmod is a little bit more tricky than say flashing a stock rom as you would need to root, install custom revovery then install Cyanogenmod rom from SD card or from internal storage.

Steps to take.

1. Download Rom and copy to root SD or root internal storage.

1. Root phone

3. Install custom recovery like TWRP

3. Reboot into recovery

4. Click install navigate to ROM and follow on screen instruction

Once you have successfully flash the first time i would do it again but this time before you install Cyagon delete data/cache/ delvik the reason not to do this first time is that if the flash is not sucesful you will not lose all your data, ideally you would delete everything then flash but like i said if the flash ins unsuccesful then you will have also lost all your apps and have to reinstall.

Many futher step by steps but this is the basics of what needs to be done in order to have custom rom (which cyagonmod is) if you think you could do that the go for it if not take to any shop and they may charge you a few hundred baht.

In the link I provided in my post, they say that I have to install ADB first and install 2 other packages (+ Google Bits).
Everything looks fairly straight forward, but I don't trust myself.
I have been to several shops here to install Cyanomod or another OS, but they only want to Root my phone (which is already rooted with Kingroot).

The reason that I want to install another OS is that I bought this phone from DTAC and after the first upgrade, the phone "bricked" itself.
The phone keeps restarting every "x" minutes and the battery is drained after 2 hours of use.
I brought the phone back to Dtac a few times, but the problem remained.
I did a search on the ZTE Blade, and many people seem to have the same problem with the battery life.

If you have already rooted your phone then install twrp you should be able to use twrp manager on play store to install and reboot into recovery then its easy.

Its not necessary to install adb becuase cyagon mod is installed through recovery you only need to install adb if you intend on using download mode on the phone and flashing through PC as the adb drivers are needed to connect pc to phone in download mode.

Try install TWRP test by rebooting into recovery( it will ask you to test) if not reboot and try again.

Sorry just read again, if the phone is bricked flash back to stock rom then root again, twrp, cyagon

If you can access the phone twrp, recovery cyagon

The phone is not bricked (yet).

I rooted the phone with KingRoot after returning to the Dtac shop without any result and deleted all the BloatWare from Dtac (FarmerInfo, etc.).

I will try to flash CyanogenMod without deleting the exsiting OS first.
I have a backup of the original OS if the flashing goes wrong.

Thanks

Maybe spend some time reading up on xda?

This phone is a bit long in the tooth, and is, based on a cursory read, a bit more challenging to flash than some here would have you believe. And it may not be able to support the version of CM?

Is a new, or even a more modern 2nd hand, phone out of the question?

I realize that this phone is not easy to flash.
That is the reason that I would like to have it flashed by someone with more experience than me.

CM and TWRP list the ZTE Blade.
But the drivers need to be loaded first with ADB.

I have a spare phone which I am using now (I-Mobile).
But if I can bring the ZTE back to life, I would be glad to use it again.

I converted my ZTE blade ( Orange Sanfransico ) to Cyanogenmod   years ago  so long I forgot how I did it

but  must have used the sideload from SD card method as I only recently got ADB working

( I believe mine was a Gen 1 phone so could get custom recovery and root  without ADB )

once you have ClockworkMod  ( or TWRP) Recovery  installed  make a full backup and keep that  backup in a safe place ( not the sd card )

then you should be able to recover from most mistakes.

Getting a phone to flash sounds so outside the bounds of good taste to we non-IT unwashed masses.

Sorry (getting my coat and hat now...).
