Pressure tank--Homepro or somewhere else?

Featured Replies

I need a new pressure tank for my house.  Is Homepro the best place to get the best price, or is there more of a specialist shop I could go to?

Anyone know of a good plumber that does good work at a quality price?  I've got a number of projects for a competent fair priced plumber.

Don't know where you are on the island but suspect there will be a shophouse type place somewhere that sells pumps/tanks and they normally have contact details for workers.  Do not believe would be any more expensive than larger places.  If you buy with the worker a better chance the correct item that he will know how to install.

try to go home work or keehin at bypass

Rawai hardware, they supply hyundia pressure pumps and also do the 1 year warranty themselves and can supply a installer

Based on past experiences I'd stay well away from HomePro. It is a rip-off place from start to finish.

Watsadu or Keehin are good enough if the local Mom&Pop can't supply what you need.

OK, thanks for the answers so far. The pressure tank I currently have  is quite large, so not sure if local mom and pop carry them, so will give Keehin a look after exhausting mom and pop shops.

are you actually looking for a pump ?  or some sort of tank  where you say its quite big sort of throws me as domestic pumps  are not what i call big  any pics

I was thinking the same.  Not sure why you need a pressure tank.  Most modern auto electric water pumps have a built in pressure tank.

Not looking for a pump, but a pressure tank.  Those pumps you are referring to would burn out in no time.  As it is now, my pressure tank has lasted over 10 years and the pumps are still running strong.

Not in my experience. My first one lasted over 16 years then developed a noisy bearing. We now have 6 auto pumps to service our building. Buy Hitachi  - last well.

If I had a typical setup, I would go this route, but it's not a typical setup and quite a bit more complex then just pumping water out of the ground on demand.

Thanks for the input, off to Keehin I go.
