Why do you insist on continuing with this garbage ? This has come about due to Thailand signing up to an International Agreement ( Commonly known as CRS ) The only way Thailand are dropping this is if they actually withdraw / suspend the International Agreement. Until then they will comply with the rules as laid down in the CRS. Thailand can do what it wants with its own Domestic Policy, which is totally different from an International Agreement. -

A tourist visa is the most difficult category to get for a Thai citizen, visiting the US. A student visa is the second hardest to get. We tried, we failed, it doesn't matter what assets he has as there is no such thing as a sponsored visa and there hasn't been for a very long time. It's not about a quota, it's about her inability to show sufficient assets. Once we were married it was relatively easy for her to get a 10-year multiple entry visa. -
