mark5335
Nothing required, update it when you next do your renewal. There's been some threads on this topic in the Motor Forum by the way.

prk888
thanks Mark but due to house move 2 different addresses are now involved and what with the recent Visa issues would be sensible to review / change. Will check out motor forum too
Spaniel
When I changed my address at the motor vehicle office here in Bangkok a few years back I had to get either a letter from the embassy (USA) or from Immigration stating my new address. NanLaew
It's the same issue when you change your passport. If your passport number is the ID number used on your Thai DL, do you change it as soon as possible or wait until the DL's renewal date? Like address changes, it is up to you and most would probably wait. However, instances may arise in the interim where having correct and matching personal details on all forms of personal ID is required. So then it becomes an imperative or something to add to an already quite full 'to do' list. Since most of us claim to be splendidly retired with loads of time on our hands, I see no problem with doing DL updates as soon as possible. Procrastination... it's not just for tomorrow.
