PMO minister tells ASEAN youth representatives of Thai people's attachment to monarchy

  

BANGKOK, 6 October 2016 (NNT) - Prime Minister's Office Minister M.L. Panadda Disakul delivered a speech to youth representatives from 10 ASEAN countries on the topic of ''Thai people's attachment to the monarchy.'' 

The Prime Minister's Office minister told a total of 70 ASEAN youth representatives that the Thais have learned of the philosophy of sufficiency economy initiated by His Majesty the King and marked the significance of the theory on occasion of the 70th anniversary of His Majesty's ascension to the throne on 9 June 2016, as well as Her Majesty the Queen's seventh-cycle birthday anniversary on 12 August 2016. 

He said the monarchy is the people's major institute to which they revere, adhere and uphold at all times. His Majesty has bestowed the kindnesses and devotions to the Thais and visited villagers in all parts of the country, the minister said. 

His Majesty initiated the philosophy of sufficiency economy for the people at all levels and in all places to follow and live a happy, simple and debt-free life, he said.

BANGKOK: -- Thai Airways International president Charamporn Jotikasthira clarified on Wednesday that the price quoted by the airline to the office of the prime minister’s secretary-general for chartered flight service for General Prawit Wongsuwan’s delegation to Hawaii was just an estimated price between government agencies and the actual price would be quoted by the airline once the trip was completed.

NSA contractor accused of taking classified information
