You could be a bit more illuminating...

CDs are sold many places, you will not have difficulty finding them, I usually buy a stack of 50 for a few baht each.

you can buy my collection. 1.400 CDs, mostly Indie/alternative/electro

too bad I am not in CM  -_-

Ah, you mean prerecorded ones.

Outside Burger King on Night Bazaar road. A gentle stroll down Loi Kroh from your hotel.

Becareful of pirated stuff. I know in Oz at the airport if your pulled they will ask you about it but not sure what the fine is or if it's just confiscated

The last century had a lot of things that were enjoyable. Don't be afraid to board the time warp

Kids are buying decks and vinyl again Winnie!

I'm hanging on to my CDs - I like their physicality and I'm a part-dinosaur on tech (though not on music/bands - prefer to find new stuff rather than always listening to stuff from my youth).  Cheapos from Patts/Pratunam/Phnom Penh are starting to fail after 5-10 years btw. I'm such a dinosaur I'll probably replace the favourites with real ones (from eBay). So much nicer waiting for the drop thru the letterbox and playing on a decent CD player, amp and speakers than "click/download/move file/put buds in the ears.

Sorry Winnie. Vinyl is better. I thought forums would be old fashioned for you.

another place to buy some records ( Vinyl rather than CDs ) in BKK is at FORTUNE IT MALL (adjacent to MRT stop Rama9).

there are quite a few dinosaur record shops on the upper floor. Sad to see that they almost never have a customer when I walk past. But the times they are a-changing . I worked for a record label myself 25 years ago and was a local concert promoter.

Mall Bangkapi used to have a small CD shop too, I believe on floor 2 or 3, specializing in NOISY things like metal, grunge, alternative. Outside they used to post flyers, advertising smaller gigs of Indie Bands. Not sure if this shop still exists. I moved away from Bangkapi area four years ago already
