Police officers on Aug. 12 patrol Suvarnabhumi Airport hours after a series of bomb and arson attacks struck seven southern provinces on the same day.

 

BANGKOK — All police units in Bangkok’s southeastern suburb of Samut Prakan have been alerted for possible car bomb attacks at several landmarks, including one of the capital city’s two international airports, according to a leaked police memo.

People praying for HM the King to have good health

Many people wearing yellow gather yesterday at Siriraj Hospital, where His Majesty the King is staying, to express their support and hope for a speedy recovery. The Royal Household Bureau issued its latest statement on the King’s condition on Sunday.

 

BANGKOK: -- MANY people have posted “Long Live the King” messages on social media to show their concern for the much-beloved King Bhumibol Adulyadej following a worrying update on the world’s longest reigning monarch.

 

The messages have flooded Facebook and Twitter over the past two days, after the Royal Household Bureau released its latest statement on Sunday about the health of the the monarch, who is now 88. 

According to the statement, a ventilator was used after the King's blood |pressure dipped following procedures to prepare him for long-term hemodialysis treatment and to change a tube that drains fluid from his spine.
