Stranded Farangs, revisited...

A reoccurring theme: Farangs stranded in Thailand!

How about an "International Solidarity Fund" for stranded Expats in Thailand? Financed by donations and/or NGO's/ Christian Missionary organizations etc...

- Only beneficiaries: Farangs in dire straits because of: Hospital Bills/Accidents or other "acts of God", beyond their control.
- Strictly administered by a conglomerate of "Western" Embassies. Judging case by case in an unburocratic way (No Thai involvement, please!).

Living in the age of "globalization", should be possible. Or not?
Cheers.

Perhaps you can start by showing your support for such a cause by disclosing informations on your "lucky escape" and your "pre-alert". Whether it helps 1 or 1000 men it will may actually go some way in educating others on your plight and in turn may save some from being "stranded"

"Lucky Escape" and "pre alert" as you quote, is useless if the "stranding" has already occurred. = Too late !

Time stands still for no man Swissie and what your suggesting is not an overnight cause it would take time and a lot of money. Something similar exists in london for men of a certain age who require shelter and it's not a homeless charity it's for aristocrats I think who are down on luck, might just be a front for some type of gay cult by sounds of it.

Don't some chaps become farang monks is that not the current strand central. Of course it depends what you mean by stranded. Tax evaders stranded for example?

Considering how many members gripe about handouts to "scroungers" or "bludgers" in their own countries, I doubt there'd be much support for establishing something similar here.

Like I said:
