Don't worry, it's a bit above your head. It's to do with finance. 555

No it isn't,  you were rambling on about messing with the parliamentary franchise and in effect getting nostalgic for the Victorian era. Probably predictable from Had Brexiteers who months ago were agitating for Royal Prerogative.

  • Just get on with it and get it done, get far away from EU as possible

  • Alright, I may be but a simple 'merican, but I think the question for most Brit's is 'what did you actually vote for'?   Since the actually referendum was so simplistic, In or out, it's hard

  • Best of luck negotiating something decent after such a stupid, self-destructive mistake.    http://www.nybooks.com/daily/2016/10/18/brexit-death-of-british-business/

The Jobs and the unemployed are not necessarily in the same place.

If you look at the unemployment figures regionally, and compare them with regional migrant figures, you will understand that your explanation can only apply to vrey limited numbers.

What on earth is a "Had" Brexiteer?

Spelling mistake from one so educated and enlightened?

It is so difficult to concentrate when one is beside oneself with worry over the impact of Brexit on the price of Balsamic Vinegar and Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

Are you really telling me that you have not prepared your finances for any eventuality regarding the Great British Brexit?

Pop over for a cup of tea to my London pad when I am around and I'll let you know.

Corbyns popularity is based on his proposals.

Once you look under the cover you see the real deal.

Hey, no problems. Have your Marxist State and watch the rules get changed so that democracy flies out of the window. I am beyond caring what will happen to all of those misguided people who think that Corbyn is the Messiah.

It puzzles me why people who enjoy living in a military/police controlled country like Thailand want to see socialism in power back in the UK. Double standards.

There is nothing so misguided as using Corbyn as an excuse for a Mayhem brexit.

The state certainly did not make my life what it is.

No it wasn't bought and paid for by the taxpayer. I should know as I am still a taxpayer starting in July 1959 until the day I die. I made my own choices in my life as to what I would do, where I would work etc. Certainly the state helped me in my early years when I volunteered to join the RAF, NOT conscripted, It didn't help me after I left, nor for the 3 careers that I had after I left.

They were MY choice and nobody elses.

I am certainly not whinging about it.

The majority of the population would have been educated by the state to the age of 15, its where we we went from there that makes the difference. I am a bit like you Bill, went to Cardington when I was 15 for RAF selection and then did 12 years. I worked for the rest of my life in a few jobs, one involved exporting and was familiar with the problems prior to the introduction of the single market. Another involved the implementation of the EU directive on gas appliances so I have some background on which to take a rational view on the effects of the EU.

For the last 12 years of my working life I was self employed as an IT consultant, if I didn't work I didn't get paid and sometimes it was a bit difficult. I would stand in the supermarket queue with my basket of groceries and fresh produce and hear the young women around me complain about the cost of living, their trolleys would be full of ready made meals. It is the curse of modern day society, an easy life and all that goes with it, large tv, smartphone, etc and there are many that expect the state to provide. When I got married we bought nearly everything secondhand.

I know what has been said but I believe that people will have a lot more to complain about because they did not really understand the implications of their vote.

When you work out how much you have paid into the system, do not forget that it includes VAT (sales tax in my day), vehicle excise duty, airport taxes and many others. they add up pretty fast.

That is true- even a heavy drinker and smoker would have contributed quite a bit.  Someone like yourself that has experienced big wage packets does pay in an inordinate amount of income tax.

I agree and that is a classic example you have shown provided the money to pay for these items is earned and not benefits to a fat lazy scrounger.

No, she has not got the same look in her face. She just does not do the pose any justice.

So, we have one anonymous 'former friend' claiming that he held nazi views, the rest of his peers claiming he was merely a Thatcherite, his head teacher sticking up for him, and a couple of teachers against him allegedly because he embarrassed them and their left wing views in teacher vs student debates.

What a non-story!

I see Theresa has sold her soul to the DUP for 1.5 Billion

Lets see what Sinn Feign or however it's spelt have to say

Good for Scotland and Wales, the Barnett formula must apply. Bad news for Devon and Cornwall who will get nowt!

Read letter from Chloe Deakin, teacher at Dulwich College. And then please do continue with your whitewash. As for the other hard brexiteer who kicked off with his silly picture of Corbyn? You reap that which you sow. http://tinyurl.com/ya9sxlp2

I covered that in my initial reply. And, what does a silly picture of Corbyn have to do with a couple of rabidly remain dailys trying to do a hatchet job on Farage?

The same as the rest of the Strawmans posts........Absolutely nothing worth reading.

Oh, my company (and often me personally) has to deal with the types we're discussing week in, week out, as part of our service to property companies. There is a huge underclass out there which simply has no interest in any kind of life which means getting out of bed early and going to work.

And like you, they voted for Brexit!
