Putin says Russian military threat to NATO is ‘imaginary’

PARIS: -- The finalisation of NATO’s plans at a summit this week to send troops to the Baltic states and eastern Poland has been greeted frostily in Russia.

The Western military alliance intends to send an initial contingent around 4,000-strong.

Foreign policy specialists from East and West have been meeting in Sochi under what has been described as a “Cold War” shadow in the Russian resort.

The Russian president took part in the final session of the Valdai Club’s gathering of foreign policy experts.

“New imaginary threats are being created all the time, like the so-called Russian military threat. It’s of course very profitable because: people can ask for bigger military budgets in their countries, or allies can be made to bend down in some superpowers’ interests, or see NATO spread to get its infrastructure: military units and weapons closer to our borders,” Vladimir Putin said.

In the biggest military build-up on Russia’s borders since the Cold War, the US has promised troops, tanks and artillery to Poland. Britain has vowed to send fighter jets to Romania. Germany, Canada and other NATO allies have also pledged forces.

The plan follows Russia’s annexation of Crimea in 2014.

Russia's New ICBM Nuke Capable of Leveling France or Texas in One Hit

What is your point?

If we check how many nuclear weapons each side has US+Europe is clearly at the top.

This weapon is not new, it was just improved and the "one Satan-2 could level france" is pure clickbait.

Just leveling the richest blocks full of the 1% in London, New York, Washington or Moscow will destroy those nations economies and security. Plus the radiation will ruin the whole city and cause massive migration and changes so enormous that the whole world will enter a new age. there are so many possibilities to the collapse of the world as we know it.

Putin is a megalomaniac like pretty much all world leaders. If they could go down in history forever, they'd like to. The world remembers the great and the evil and forgets the rest of the leaders. Do you think Putin 'needs' to be remembered? I think Trump would want more than just being another president. Hillary would be happy with being another president. Obama is happy enough with what he has done.

I think you can trust what Putin says as much as you can trust Trump. 555555555  Both sides lie, but Putin is a very good liar and I remember recently that a whole fleet of Russian ships passed right by UK (they could have gone on the other side not right down the English Channel) and on a regular basis Russian jets now buzz close to many NATO countries borders and confront NATO jets at a close and dangerous distance. That's a warning!!!  Actions speak louder then words when it comes to Putin.
