Are we heading for World War 3? Fears of ‘dangerous and volatile’ world under 'maverick' President Trump

Oh, and look it this. Amazing how you forgot to mention it was "routine" and they contacted the Clintons, too:

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-11-10/russia-says-it-was-in-contact-with-trump-s-team-during-campaign

I must have ESP. When I read the babbling about the Russians talking to Trump, the first thing I thought was: good idea to touch bases with who might be the president. My second thought: I wonder if they talked to Hillary. I figured they did, given they had already bribed Hillary for control of 20% of our uranium production.

Thanks for posting the facts.

Would you please provide say five bullet points of strategic policy articulated by Trump to prove your point.

Unless of course Trump, the opportunist hypocrite,  has reversed all his talking points during the election campaign (that would not go down well with his base, indeed NeverSure's claimed 200 million gun owner friends might get very p8765ed off).

It appears you don't understand this election. While Trump has voiced policies Americans and others like, such as killing terrorists, controlling our border, renegotiating trade deals, his appeal is that he's the opposite of Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton, in case you didn't know, is the consummate corrupt, establishment, lying, cheating politician people around the world are sick and tired of. Leftists here in the US threw everything they had at Trump, plus the kitchen sink. America has had enough and said so at the ballot box.

The election of Donald trump is not a problem. But a symptom of the problem. The World has been increasingly focussing inwards and blaming the ills of the World on everyone else but the root cause of the problem.

The World’s wealthy regardless of what system you put in place or what Party or form of Politics you aspire to. Continue to control the direction and the flow of Capital.

Poland is a good example of new Nationalistic , Racist and Xenophobic thinking re emerging its ugly head.

Blame other Religions, Blame other beliefs , Other Countries other systems but never look at yourself.

“It is said in order for Evil to prevail all that is required is for good people to do nothing”

In the most recent US election over 100 million did not vote.

In other words 50% either feel disenfranchised or disillusioned or just do not care.

We are the problem. If 80% plus voted then Democracy would work.

As long as 50% refuse to participate then you will get extremes. Get of your asses World and participate 1 vote can make the difference

What's the point of voting for a President who in a matter of days has moved away from some of his core campaign promises.

Don't recall Obama or HC stepping back from National Security requirements to take on terrorists, though IMO it is counter productive for Trump to claim he will authorise the murder families of terrorists.

If I recall correctly, Trump has admitted to corrupt practices, whether this is yet another example of his bluster & BS I don't know. With 75 outstanding law suits which will not be waived because he will be President, I guess he will either settle out of Court, found innocent or convince the litigants to cease action. Whatever the course of events it's an embarrassment to the Office.

As a non US citizen I do wish for Trump to reconcile the deep conflicts in US society and revisit US foreign policy for improvement, that so far as I understand his stated positions during his campaign do not manifest. If his Administration reverses his commitments or dramatically change focus  I do wonder how he will satisfy the expectations of his base. Have to wait and see...

Demonstrably false. Trump has been in the public eye for well over 30 years. It wasn't discovered he was an unhinged, psychopathic racist until he ran against a Democrat.

Demonstrably false and using the word "demonstrably" correctly this time.  Trump's many character flaws are not demonstrated by any Democrat or anyone else, but by Trump's own actions and words.

Have you not seen Trump speak or know about, e.g., his petulant tweets in the middle of the night in response to some slight he had received?  What sane person does that?  As Kipling advised, "If you can keep your head...."  I think you know the ending.

How about when he made fun of that journalist with a physical disability?  If someone else had done that in high school or even middle school, would not people think he or she was a stupid, little child?

The list goes on and on ad nauseam.

Trump - and Trump alone - has demonstrated how childish he is.

At least DT got in on merit. Obama just got in because he's black.

Possibly the most revealing post of any on the current US political situation.

One poll I saw said 55-60% of those voting did not like who they were voting for!  Really sad statistic.  Democracy does seem to be failing the average person.

Would help to actually read the link provided. The article described contact with HRC's campaign as "sporadic", whereas Trump's campaign was more receptive. The point being that Trump and his campaign denied connections with Russia. The Uranium bit gets old and was addressed on previous topics.

This morning on BBC the reporter asked one of the protesters, a BLM leader, why they were protesting. One of his reasons was its against racism. Wind the clock back to last weekend. An African American interviewed on BBC, said he wouldn't vote for Hilary because she wasn't black.

I don't doubt it. Racism cuts both ways. It's equally deplorable whichever way it is directed.

Do not believe those experts. If they say that a Trump presidency has already increased the chances of nuclear war, than Vlad Putin cannot benefit from that. He and Russia is and will be the target.
Nobody around Trump will allow him to nuke the Middle East.
Isis will be dealt with conventional. Together with Russia, or not.

What a bunch of bullseat!!! Under Obama they undermine and destabilize all the middle east. We thinked that George Bush was evil, and then it came the "nobel price" Obama... we will never knows who is behind and thwir plans...beside of that I don't know the reason all these protests in US... If they line he wants to get  is to push a sustenaibility line is not that bad...

Not that the clip posted got much to do with the topic. But here's this - we have no idea if Trump is beholden to foreign interests or not. We do not even fully know which countries his companies do business with and on what terms. Seems like his business activities will not be placed in a blind trust, as well.

Al-Waleed bin Talal is rather progressive as far as Saudi Arabia goes. He's also much more of philanthropist than Trump will ever be. As for the assertions regarding the number of Syrian refugees in Saudi Arabia, plain wrong.

The Clintons started five wars and Bill almost initiated a nuclear war with Russia at Pristina. Fortunately, the British commander in Kosovo told Wes Clark, Clinton's Nato commander, that he wasn't going to start World War III for him.  And, then, there's Libya.

Do not forget ,  Tony Blair . due for  a peace prize,

oops i meant pay rise .

The biggest problem in the ME is Saudi Arabia and Iran's "war".   Can't blame the US for everything bad that happens in the world.  Though many try.

the Russians never violate UK air or "seaspace". using the expression "intercept" instead of "escorting" is journàrselistic bee-ess.

Perhaps not into UK airspace, but very close.  With equipment capable of carrying nuclear weapons.  The UK has a right to be nervous.  How about they stay well clear of UK airspace?  That would sure calm things down.

Dateline London yesterday, discussing the result. The western correspondents were ghast that it could increase Russian influence in the Middle East. The Arab correspondent hit back with what has 30 years of Western influence given the Middle East?

Arab Spring started for a reason.  Just like Brexit and Trumps election.
