just had a quote from dermaster clinic in BKK .    its for stress lines,  frown lines on forehead and crow feet,  not too severe.  im  49 years old.

maybe i should wait but if i get a decent price then why not if it inmproves my looks ?

so,  anyone recommend a decent clinic.      not bumrungrad as it is way over my budget.

What exactly are they proposing to do? An upper face lift or botox and fillers?

Upper face lift should definitely not be done outside of a hospital. It entails general anesthesia and is not safe.

However just for lines, either botox alone or a mix of botox and fillers is usually sufficient and can be done in a clinic. Cost will vary both with where you go and with the amount of botox and filler used (if any). Dr. Donna Robinson at MedConsult Asia is good and price quite competitive

Fillers last 1-2 years depending in type used

Botox is 3-6 months, usually lasts longer after the first few times. Mine now lasts me 5-6 months.

I can't imagine getting an upper face lift only for lines.

Face lifts would be recommended for signifcant  sagging...it is major surgery entailing general anesthesia.

ANothetr thing sometimes done is thread lifts, though I read a lot of negative feedback on them.

What exactly is it this clinic has given you a quote for?

i had botox in a very well known clinic right next to tukcom centre in pattaya,  i was left with 2 black eyes, a piggy nose and a squint for a couple of week.....LOL ,  must of been fake botox , i was that angry i felt like going back and punching that guy up and down the street,  plus 12k out of pocket.

and you know what ,   after the pig nose and squint and blue eyes went away the so called botox did absolutely zilch to my crows feet or frown lines !!

Forehead lift is not necessary if all you have is lines. Only if there is noticeable sag.

Completely unsafe to have such procedures done in a clinic. Hopefully this package involves admission to a proper hospital, but best to ask.

Also need to select the plastic surgeon with great care.

Anyone getting real Botox will definitely see a result unless the person administering it was seriously inept. There is fake Botox around. Personally I have been getting botox for some 15 years, over which i have gone to perhaps 6 different places, never had a problem getting the real thing, though the skill of the injectors have varied.
