Marry the same girl twice?

Featured Replies

I know this is TV and the topic usually starts with 'my friend' or 'I know a guy', but matter of fact it's really one of those cases.

Lets say they are both a bit hotheaded and divorced while being in a big fight. They have been married for 8 or 9 years and are now divorced for 3 months.

Is there any time limit until they can marry again? I told him, that I think he has to wait 1 year but I am not 100% sure.

Don't question his mental health please just a very impulsive italian guy with a very hot headed ex-wife who want to get hitched AGAIN :D

Thanks :)

Tell your "friend" it will never work especially the second time around

I tend to agree.  Maybe you can talk your "friend" out of it.  We wouldn't want to see your next thread three months down the line where you sadly inform us that the second marriage went tits up and one of them stuck a knife in the other and you've spent days trying to remove the blood stains from the ceiling.  Perish the thought.

Haha yeah, been there done that :D

Some people are just helpless - maybe I should tell him it's 5 years but I'd still like to know the real number, if there is any.

What's the driver for getting married?  Unless they're raising kids, just living together makes a lot more sense on many levels.

A wise friend of mine once described his re-marriage to his ex as "taking another bite out of the same old turd".  He was a lot wiser after it was over the second time.

Many years ago Thai women married to foriegners were prohibited from owning land because of their foriegn husbands.

This law has ben repealed and no ;onger applies for  quite a few tears now.

i had a friend  named Jim whose wife  wanted to buy land but at that time she couldn't buy the land because she was married to Jim.

So they both went down to the Ampur and got a non contested divorce.

Then Jim's wife went and bought her land, as she was no longer married to a foriegner.

Once she had bought the land she wanted, she and Jim went again to the Ampur and remarried.

No problem.

As I remember this was about 50 years ago now, and as I said that old law was long ago made invalid.

I haven't seen Jim since the 1980's, wonder if he is still around in Thailand or not.

If so he would be an old f_rt like me.

Never, ever, ever marry the same woman twice. It is one of the biggest mistakes a person can make. Walk away. Don't look back. You got divorced for a reason. Maybe she is showing a better face now, that she realizes all that is lost to her. But, has anything really changed? We all know how much real effort is required to really change one's self. Most are not capable of it. But, many are capable of putting on a show for a brief period. Do yourself a favor. Get your life back. Be a man. Stand up. Do credit to men all over the world and just walk away. Forever.
