SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — It sounds like a great idea: Forget passwords, and instead lock your phone or computer with your fingerprint. It’s a convenient form of security — though it’s also perhaps not as safe as you’d think.

Government leads nation in pledging allegiance to the kings of the Chakri dynasty

BANGKOK: -- The prime minister today led the whole nation to join in a massive ceremony to show loyalty  together to the kings of the Chakri dynasty.

 

With the centre of the ceremony is at Government House in Bangkok, and at all state agency offices across the country, Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha led over 4,000 government officials in white uniforms to sing the national anthem at 8.00 am in front of Thai Ku Fah building.

 

After singing the National Anthem, the prime minister then led government officials, and members of the public across the country in the  pledge of allegiance to all the kings of the Chakri dynasty who have reigned the country for over 200 years.

Phuket tour bus suffers brake failure on Patong hill, two motorcyclists injured

PHUKET: -- A motorcyclist and his passenger were hospitalised last night (Nov 22) when a bus lost control and veered into the opposite lane causing the driver of the bike to crash. The incident occurred in front of the Sea Pearl Resort on Patong Hill.

Locals in northern Shan state warned as fighting escalates

Local residents in conflict-torn northern Shan State of Myanmar have been warned to restrict their movement in the region as battles escalate between a joint force of four ethnic armed groups and the Burmese army, The Irrawaddy News Online reported on Monday.

Pattaya City orders Golden Cliff House hotel to demolish swimming pool in 45 days

PATTAYA: -- The Pattaya City and the military today shut down the operation of the Golden Cliff House hotel in Pattaya temporarily as it put up an official notice ordering it's owner to demolish the swimming pool and other structures which jut into the sea illegally within 45 days.
