rooster59 Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 China Town closed to traffic for big event today Bangkok's China Town or locally known as Yaowaraj will be closed to traffic today for the holding of a big event to pay tribute and in remembrance of the beloved King Bhumibol Adulyadej by the Chinese community. Samphantawong District Office said in an announcement today that the event called “King in the Hearts of All Thai Chinese People” will begin from 4.00pm to 8.00pm. According to the Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, the Tio Chew Association of Thailand, and the United Chinese Clans Association of Thailand, the event will be held at His Majesty’s 6th Birthday Anniversary Gate which is located at the Odeon Circle on Yaowarat Road.
