Do i have a choice of transportation other than taxi ?

Featured Replies

I don’t live in Bangkok so I’m not so familiar with transportation in areas which are not served by BTS or MRT. Would somebody be able to advise me please on choice of transportation if there is one.

I need to travel from Udom Suk BTS station along Udom Suk Road almost to the very end to the junction with Sri Nakarin Road.

Is taxi my only option?

I believe there are Song Tao's (covered pick-up's with benches) along that route.  There are also numerous moto taxis in the area.

There are also normal-size BIG buses along that road-incl going a little further, but infreqeunt. And heaps of buses all along Sri Nakarin=north south. Most people here are brainwashed by farang thinking that anything except BTS is far too difficult to use.

Songhthaews are dozen in the minute along that road-going east they have various endspots. Just hop on and pay after getting off-mostly 7 or 8 bt/ride-its posted somewhere.

deleted, I misread the OP's destination

Uber if you're not comfortable riding the bus. Songthaews may be the most ideal in your case. Good luck!

and there are some Taxi you can call and they come and get you ,

if the idea is you want some record of who picked you up......
