i cant afford to fly to perth in oz just yet to get my non imm b visa...

i will be able to afford it after the 15th of janurary.

if i do my visa on the 11th of december, i will get number 3 stamped in my passport.

i will then have 30 days to leave the country right??

but im not allowed back in without a visa...

what can i do??

all i need to do is hold out untill the 15th or so of janurary when i get paid and can afford to fly the 15,000 baht price!! to oz and wait for 3 days to get my non imm b.

any help would be so appreciated!

For 1,900 Baht you can get a 10-day extension on a visa-exempt entry. At least this used to be the case and I hope it still is.

Border run on December 11. Admitted until January 9. On January 9, apply for extension. Extended until January 19.

This means you must fly out of Thailand not later than January 19. Does this solve your problem?

there isn't anyone that could send you some money...? if you don't even have 15,000 baht...how are two people gonna hold out with less than that for a month?

Way to solve that one, Maestro! You took the words right outa my mouth. I was gonna say the same exact thing little buddy. Youre good to go now Mikeinminburi! No sweat. For each and every runner, a way out (AND back in :o ). Just like the A-Team... I love it when a plan comes together.

ok, i read into the over stay, but also heard that they only do it for about 7 days now, and its completly up to the immigration staff wether they give it to you...

ok, say we get the over stay, and we get the dates allowed to stay up till the 19th of janurary..

i work for an agency and they dont offer work permits..

so from what ive heard, oz will be the only place that i can do my non imm b visa from??

is this true? well, i know its the closest place...

or can i do it from say singapore or vietnam or mynmar?

as for the 15,000 baht, dont forget there is my second half so its 30,000 baht.

and no, we cant get money from anyone abroad.

we have some money now, but not a lot. we get paid a decent amount but after expenses and living allowances we dont have a huge deal of money to throw around on our visa..

i know the visa is 100% pure essential and i know i have to do it, just wondering if there is any place closer or cheaper to do it from.

Did you arrive in Thailand before or after the new regulations came into force?

When were you first aware of the regulations?

Have you heard of forward planning or budgeting? I do not earn a fortune, We visit my 3 daughters and 5 grandchildren in England every year so I know that I have to save about 70,000 Baht per year for the airfare. If I do not have that money, we can't go and there will be 8 unhappy people in England plus myself and my wife.

The only bit of advice that I can give you is 'cut your coat according to your cloth.' This won't help you this time but will in the future!
