That will make compelling reading.

Edit. I am honoured. The most exciting thing I did last week was use a bum gun and go to lotus, but not at the same time.

Just woke up to this thread.  Sorry.  A few months ago when I was feeling stressed by all the demands of the duties of being POTY, running the CM Expats Club and getting banned from hanging around the CM Immigration office "to observe", in a moment of weakness I agreed to let Hubby schedule a holiday away from Chiang Mai for us.

Little did I know that his idea of a holiday is to visit friends he's made at Rotary clubs in the region -- via flights that leave airports at 6 am, to countries where the alcohol costs more than it does in Thailand (or isn't available at all), stay in places with slow internet connections and be kept busy getting hauled out to remote villages to assist the local Rotary clubs in doing projects to help villagers who were cannibals a generation ago.  Yup, this is taking my mind off Chiang Mai alright.

Anyway -- a question.  When will that mega list of candidates be narrowed down to five?  I've attempted to read the rules, but find it all very confusing.  Meanwhile, Mr. Bitey has said he'll help.  He points out, from reading of this thread and other observations around the building, that at least two candidates seem to have sifted thru his kitty litter -- elgordo38 and pgrahmm.

After the couple of 'explanations', I'm embarrassed to admit that I still don't have any idea what this means.

Okay, let's see. There's a guy with the username "dogleg" on this forum. And when you scroll down you can see who's currently reading this thread.

Hi Nancy. We have missed you here.

Whilst you have been out galavanting around the countryside, poor old Trans has been taking care of the sick and the elderly.

That chap he is helping to cross the road doesn't look old or infirm to me...

Good to know that someone has been taking care of elderly, hapless white people because Hubby's idea of helping people is to go to hot dirty places without the comfort of five star hotels and help people who can't manage the courtesy of speaking English.  At least when I do my Florence Nightengale act in Chiang Mai, I'm never far from a good spa or nail salon.
