Lean programing in BKK - any advise?

Featured Replies

Hello IT guys .. !

As a daily user of computers and very addicted to internet since many years ago,

From this hobby I learned some basics of webdesign such as HTML, CSS, PHP,, C#

thinking to turn this very hobby into a professional career in programming,

with a quick search about the highest ranked jobs for programming languages:

SQL, Java, Javascript, C#, Python, PHP, C++, IOS, etc

have some questions:

Which one is the most wanted in the job markets in Thailand or else where?

which language on that easier to start with as professional programmer?

As for C language family that involved in most of apps building: C, C+, C++, C# .. which one is the easier to start with?

what about mobile apps design ? desktop app? to focus on the useful one,

Are there any institutions, colleges, or private schools that give programming courses in English in BKK?

appreciate your advises, thanks a lot,

I'm not sure that is the best question to ask when choosing which language to learn, it's a bit like saying what is the easiest tool to use? oh yeh I'll buy a hammer then

It would be better to think first about the type of programs you want to make then research the languages required.

...ps

afaik there is no c+ & c# isn't really a part of the c family

Have a look at the Quora Digest blog. The questions you are asking come up frequently on this site.

Whenever I see the title of this thread in the listings my first thought is that lean is a programming language I haven't heard of and that the OP is looking for work.

OP, are you Thai? If not, your chances of getting work here, even after training, are virtually zero.

Probably better to keep programming as a hobby.

If you're open to learning online, Lynda.com offers a number of programming courses. However, as onthesoi points out, you should know what, exactly, you want to do. You also need to understand what a programming language actually is. SQL is a database management language used to create and manipulate databases, whereas HTML and CSS are markup languages to layout and provide structure for web pages. PHP and Javascript are scripting languages acting as subsets of programming languages. They are interpreted languages as opposed to compiled languages.

There are jobs and work permits available for good programmers here. Pay won't be so fantastic, but better than English teaching. Plus... tons of work to be found remotely and through sites like Upwork, etc.

But the OP will be totally inexperienced, even after taking a course.
