Hi,

a quick question will be doing my 90 day reporting for the first time soon. Noticed today that it's stamped for 25th December - I don't really want to spend my Christmas day at Immigration.

If I turn up either on the 22nd do you think this will be ok?

Second question apart from my passport - anything else I need to bring for 90 day reporting?

Thanks in advance

Steve

I'm sending the wife to do it (as I always do) and then that way it doesn't get in the way of me eating my mince pies, watching Christmas DVD's and getting squiffy on a mix of Baily's and Southern Comfort.

no problem to report early, i have never been late with mine so i couldn't comment on that. When it comes to visa's i think its better all around to do it early rather than leave it to the last minute/do it late.

when ever i've been there just a smile and my passport is all thats needed, its a 10minute job (not including queues)

Plus to minus 7 days is the official window for reporting. I was 6 days early this week as in the area of the One Stop on Ratchada. You can download and fill out the form/print it but nothing else, except passport and last receipt, required.

Our 90day checks were also due on Christmas day. My wife and I walked into AEK Udon Hospital's Immigration office in Udon today, handed our 90day forms to the clerk, didn't say a word, and walked out with a renewed 90day check good until 8 Mar.

Early is a better choice. I went 3 days late a couple years ago and after digging out some huge books the officer found a passage that he felt justified him charging me 2000 baht for being late. I paid but was not a happy camper for sure.

I just did the 90 day this week in Nong Khai and tried to use the downloaded form, which is a great addition but was loudly and soundly chastised by the officer for not using the form they provide in their office. He accepted it after making a big to do about a red stamp that they use in that office but told me to not do that again. So even now it depends on the office and the officer you happen to catch on how you will be treated.

Go early and plan to use the form the office you are notifying provides is my advice.

I noticed a small change last month, as usual I post the form with sae and this time they sent back

receipt with a new blank form stamped in red.

Normally I never receive a new blank form. I used to use photocopies and just enter the new date .
