I will let you figure out what kind of mean and nasty imaginative "misnomers" other children and young boys would or could create from that name in particular. Just saying.
55Jay Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 How about "Wat"? What's your name? Wat. I said, what's your name? Wat. Listen, mate, what's your name? Correct. Wat is my name. No, I'm asking YOU, what's your name?
GuiseppeD Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 Mongkut is a lovely name for a Thai boy. If you want to go Italian then check out my name, Guiseppe, the most famous name in Italy and home of the Hawaiian pizza.
Damrongsak Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 We named our second son "Tan". No need for a nickname. My Thai in-laws tend to have long names, so nicknames are needed. Among them are Nong, Neen, Nap and Not. Try saying those together 3 times real fast.
akentryan Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 My Thai name is Boonlert. Not sure how I got it though.
stament Posted January 2, 2017 Author Posted January 2, 2017 perhaps your mother and father gave it you? ??

janejira Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 Theeradej - (if born on a Tuesday) You could also look for a Thai name that has the same meaning as his English name. That's what we did for our daughter.
stament Posted February 10, 2017 Author Posted February 10, 2017 The boss chose Pitchaya. First rule, never argue with the boss! second rule, refer to first rule.
