AYUTTHAYA: -- A crafty employee stole his Ayuthaya employer's ten wheel truck to take his girlfriend on a planned trip to Rayong.

Then instead of bringing it back he called his boss to demand 20,000 baht ransom for the vehicle, reports Daily News.

But the boss called Ayuthaya cops who soon cracked the case, reports Daily News.

Arrested was 35 year old Khomsan Ochakun from Singburi. He told police that his employer had not given him time off for New Year and he wanted to take his girlfriend on a planned trip.

So he siphoned off some fuel from another vehicle and stole the ten wheeler from the company on December 31st.

But after going to Rayong he dumped the truck in Chonburi and phoned his boss to demand that he transfer 20,000 baht to him for its safe return.

Police in Ayuthaya discovered that Khomsan, who had worked at his present employers for about a month, had two outstanding warrants for stealing from employers in Singburi and Samutprakarn.

His girlfriend has found a real gem of a Thai man.

You don't wanna lose him love, he's a keeper.

How romantic. Modern day Romeo and Juliette.

It beats a candlelight dinner for two in the back of a manure spreader, but not by much.

Probably cheaper than renting a vehicle ,500 baht fine if say sorry

Thai thinking lol TIT

Looks like a misunderstanding....he borrowed the vehicle and was asking for a loan.

Still a better love story than Twilight

... cops who soon cracked up accepting the case.

At least he didn't kill anyone . . .

can't understand why he was "crafty" one stupidly thick individual, with not one brain cell, and he had form for stealing from his previous  employers.

With the strict ganja laws in Thailand it appears like she gave him _ _ _ , because nobody rides for free!

He just wanted to give her a memorable truckin'

And like most he would end up paying them to take her back!

Ah love is in the air a modern day Sir Lancelot. Goodbye girl, goodbye job, hello jail.

seems like a bright lad.

Well done to the BIB, must have been a tough job to track down such a tiny vehicle like that.

How do you say "YEE HAA" in Thai? ?
