POLITICIANS CONVICTED by the Supreme Court’s Criminal Division for Political Office Holders will be able to appeal court verdicts more easily after a new constitution is implemented, a senior judicial official said yesterday.

Cases now being tried in the court will come under the new rules if verdicts are given after the new charter takes effect, said Athikom Intuputi, secretary-general of the Office of the Judiciary.

Does the accused need to be physically present to make the appeal?

Interesting that they include the Yingluck trial in the article. Is this new law just for her? Your guilty, I appeal, your guilty again, out the political arena you go Yingluck. In record time. Ahhh, now we can get on with the fair elections.

Careful there budding politicians I think they are toying with you.

All concerned, past, present and future...

Appeals? People who go on trial in Thailand are amateurs. The untouchables in green just give themselves a blanket amnesty....:bah:
