Tots,

When you cleared your private data, did you clear "cookies" too?

I cleared everything apart from cookies and passwords, you are closing the browser and restarting it right ?

totster :o

Yes,

And after the first time of not getting the new attachment screen I even re-started the computer. Mai mee

Another problem: quick edit. I click the button for edit, chose the quick option, make my editing, and then I can't make it work. In other words, quick edit doesn't work for me. I'll go to full edit, but I'm not sure that will work, either. If you read this sentence, full edit worked....

If you wish to advise me, please realize I'm really stupid about these things.

Oh Wait!!

George When I click The main Add reply and it loads up the reply panel,

There's a brief moment when it says, in the location of the attachments panel, something like "initialising (something or other)" and it looks like a brief java applet or something... Could that have anything to do with buckwheat's problem???

Maybe he needs to activate a function or add a plug in or whatever. most of us have got every plug in known to man, but not all.

Me too John,

I went into the Chat Room just to ake sure the Java applets already installed were working. Access to the chatroom was no problem.

I stil have no attachment capabilities.

Admin,

For what it's worth, I've posted quite a bit today about the attachment problem.

I just noticed at the top of the main page...

Welcome back; your last visit was: Yesterday, 2006-12-09 23:42:58

I don't know if that matters or not, but it seems as if while my posts are showing up, the board doesn't see me today.

Have you tried logging out and back in again?

Yes Thaddeus...

About 100 times....and restarting Firefox...and restarting Windows.

No sweat, it's a big site and there are probably a few more bugs to work out. It'll get fixed eventually.

I'm sure TV can survive without my attachments for a while :o

Ah well...... at least you can see the invisible forum now, that'll keep you occupied for a while :o

P.S I've had a quick look at the source code for the reply form and that section in particular is written in Java, I would be tempted to reinstall that if the next forum update has no effect.

I cleared all private data Tots and always use the remember me button but I had to log in three times before I could post this reply.

I will check if the edit function is working on this post.

edit, yes it does.

Anybody else having problems with getting logged out constantly and also 'completing edits'?

Not me..

Try clearing your cache/temp internet files, and when logging in click the "remember me" box.

See if that helps

totster :D

Thanks for the help Tot's...

Looks like I have everything now, so here's a pic of my sweetheart as a gesture of my appreciation :o

I really liked the feature where the left most column showed a tiny yellow star over the symbols to show that we have either started or replied to that particular thread. :o Bring it back, please.

Not sure what you mean... Yellow star?

I don't know what this yellow star business is either... :o

Mazo, the function you seek is still there, it has just moved.

The location of the tab you seek has moved.

Now you click on a member name, whereever they have posted...

beforewf2.jpg

See where you avatar picture is?? click on your name above it (or any user's name)

and a drop down menu comes up:

afterlg0.jpg

It is now on the left hand side, underneath the user profile
