Clinic Raided for Operating Without a License, Doctor Has Fake Credentials: Bang Saray
A bit of topic but it would be nice to know the training Doctors go through here. I have had good and bad. Do they train as long as western Doctors (4 -7 years )? Is the standard as high? -

Thai tax riddle: Elite Visa holders off the hook?
I do remember seeing a Video where it said Elite Holders were exempt from Tax if they stayed less than 180 days in Thailand during the calendar year (i.e. Exactly the same as any other kind of Visa holder!!!). I believe Thai Elite is a Private company so it's difficult to see Thailand granting them "Special Tax Considerations" whereas LTR is run by BOI who have a history of providing "Special Tax Considerations" even before the introduction of the LTR & have a Royal Decree confirming that LTR holders are exempt from income tax brought into the country. Edit: Would be good to get the name of the Webinar to see if it's the same one that I watched (I've watched so many YT videos on Thailand Tax they blur into one!!!). -

Any benefits in antibiotics
Using antibiotics when you have no infection is a really really stupid idea. This drives antibiotic resistance, and means that when individuals do get an infection is it might not be curable. All antibiotic usage must be when required and nothing extra. Extra info - antibiotic usage in livestock to generate more profit is another major problem behind resistance. -

Garbage piling up in Phuket amid tourism revival
Phuket, Thailand’s premier tourist destination, is grappling with an increasing garbage problem as tourism rebounds post-pandemic. The island welcomed 11 million local and foreign visitors last year, double the number from two decades ago. However, this tourism surge has led to an alarming rise in waste. Phuket's deputy governor, Norasak Suksomboon, disclosed that the daily garbage volume has surged to 1,100 tonnes, up from 742 tonnes in 2022 and 961 tonnes last year. This data, sourced from the provincial statistics office and Pollution Control Department, highlights a growing environmental concern. Speaking at the 25th Inter-Islands Tourism Policy Forum, which brought together 150 global tourism leaders and policymakers, Mr. Norasak underlined the sustainability challenges the province faces. He appealed to residents and volunteers to assist in managing this mounting waste, particularly by recycling and composting. Phuket, with a permanent resident population of 418,000 as of 2021, struggles to cope with the waste from both locals and an influx of external workers and tourists. The island's single incinerator, run by Phuket municipality, can handle only about 900 tonnes daily, forcing the remainder to be sent to various dumpsites. Alarmingly, only 10% of Phuket's trash is recycled, and 60% comprises organic waste. Mr. Norasak urged residents to transform organic waste into compost or soil improvers, reducing the reliance on disposal facilities. He emphasised that community involvement is crucial to address this pressing issue. Earlier this year, the municipality launched a "garbage bank" pilot project in Samakkee Samkong community, Muang district, aimed at recycling waste. If successful, this initiative will be expanded to other areas, offering a sustainable solution to the island’s growing waste problem. As Phuket continues to attract tourists, the province must balance economic gains with environmental stewardship to ensure a cleaner, more sustainable future. Getting a credit card
If his card is anything like the Krung Sri Exclusive you have to have money in the bank for certain period (5 million baht, six months) to get the card. You are then free to withdraw the money, yet keep the card, so the substantial investment is not securing the card. (Yes, I'm certain. I have a Krung Sri Exclusive card and have done this.) -

Any benefits in antibiotics
Not quite, not using a condom you may not pick something up for several months but you will eventually. I've told a couple of girls i got an STI from them told them what they need to take but they just deny it, so i gave up telling them, anyway since using Doxy PEP it's not been an issue -

Not-on-Tinder: I met some super nice guy yesterday in CM. A man with some class! Amazing.
Any person with a touch of class, (like me for example), would avoid GG like the plague. I come from a family of academics, my father a professor of languages, my mother an author (but only writing in French, her second language). My 2 elder brothers are Cambridge graduates, and have published many research papers. I got my Masters in Space Science from London University. I speak English, Thai, Lao, French and some Burmese.... Trust me GG. Any man with true class would not want to associate with you..... have you tried the local mental asylum?
