webfact Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 Pattaya under age sex bar busted Picture: Manager Online PATTAYA: -- Police conducted a sting operation in Soi Bua Khao last night and busted a beer bar selling under age sex to tourists. Wannida Man-in, 24, - the manager of the Relax - was arrested after she offered a 17 year old for sale for just 1,000 baht, reports Manager Online. Police had prepared a 1,000 baht note and photocopied it so there was no doubt about the crime. Also taken into evidence was a packet of condoms. District officials and the military were also involved in the arrest. Wannida was charged with trafficking in human beings after being taken to Pattaya police station. The seventeen year old was named only as "A". Her fate is uncertain at this time as this was not mentioned in the Manager online report. colinneil Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 AHH but was it a used condom? Not used not evidence.
craigt3365 Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 Interesting that the "manager" always gets busted. Wonder who the owner is?

The Pattaya bar busts have always claimed that the presence of unused condoms is proof of prostitution taking place. I mean, what else are they going to be used for? Working in China, we had big issues with Chinese-made dynamite disintegrating when left too long in waterlogged shot holes. So we bought thousands of local condoms, wrapped the charges in them before loading the hole. They were good for at least 24-hours. Unfortunately, the Chief Driller forgot to empty his bag properly before flying back to Oz to see his wife on R&R. The fact that the condoms she found were cavernous enough for the average schlong made his claims'Honest Narelle, they're for me job' a real hard sell.
wakeupplease Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 1000b a bonk so we do have quality tourists as the TAT lady and PM said we must have, hope those roughnecks from Russia and Europe never come back Pattaya the saving face of the nation
balo Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 She's 17 and she needs the money . She'll be back tomorrow. I'm not saying it's a good thing but it will just be money exchanging hands and a new day tomorrow .
Deli Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 The cover girl looks pretty to me and above 18. Barfine !

AhFarangJa Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 I wonder what the manager....Wanneda MAN-IN - does in her spare time....
Dukeleto Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 I thought photocopying money was illegal and is, believe it or not, actually termed "counterfeiting". Lol. Or is that area of the law not covered in the coppers exams?
little mary sunshine Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 Ssdd its Pattaya...thicker envelopes
TheFishman1 Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 And the owner of the Bar? Probably a High ranking official of the Govt will be open tomorrow TIT

Show nudity, open late, aka anything explicitly against the law and yes, you'll need some tea money arrangement but for the rank and file, including bars and hookers on site, you won't. You may in some places be offered options to join the "union" but the vast majority of places don't pay a bean.
optad Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 'A' should be in school. She will learn languages faster doing what she is doing but telexes her formative education environment for the next thirty.

If it were legal, we could run a sweep stake on who the owner/s might be. Politician, connected person, hi so, rich, police or military etc etc The mind boggles. But they will never be prosecuted, so it only sheer speculation.
BruceMangosteen Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 Anyone who pre pays 1000 Baht is either a police officer, informant, etc. or a complete idiot. Focus on the prepayment to a third party for your conclusions.
Jeremy50 Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 The police and military both involved in the removal of one 17 yo from a bar. Gosh, well done chaps. If they had been in Soi Cowboy 30 years ago, their eyes would have been out on stalks, 17 would have been considered near the upper end of the age scale during that particular era.

NickJ Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 You wouldn't need to go back thirty years......
Jimbo2014 Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 " Police had prepared a 1,000 baht note and photocopied it so there was no doubt about the crime." Im not understanding this brilliant piece of detective work. How do you present that in court. Your honor, here is a photocopy of the note used in the transaction to prove the victim was trafficked underaged. Case closed - hang em high.

True, the owner should bear responsibility; however, the manager is the facilitator of the offense. Whether the owner knew of the infraction or not; it's the manager's job to know.

Can't argue it wasn't the officer's money to begin with (serial number in the bill) - quite simple really. EDIT: And why photocopy - because BiB love that everything is in paper black & white, lol Edited January 11, 2017 by jabis Inclusion...

Proving the owner knew may be more difficult than proving the manager knew. However, holding the owner responsible for whatever transpires in his establishment would solve it. But, as we all know, the owner will not be punished.

Yahooka Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 Did they promote themselves as an "Underage Sex Bar" to draw in customers? Sent from my SM-G920F using Thaivisa Connect mobile app
Rimmer Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 An off topic post and reply has been removed, this is not the USA
IAMHERE Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 Doesn't seem to be all that serious of a crime to me. Hope the fine isn't much. Rather have the police presence out on the street than inside the bars.
