Where’s the Red Ball Express?

I’ll assume flooding has choked supply lines. I needed a few items today: Pancake mix, cherry tomatoes, milk, and butter. I had to visit 5 shops to complete the list. Milk was the tough one. First 7-11 looked like something out of a post apocalypse movie, but found some at they second 7-11, and it was their last carton.

Everything is available you just have to shop around, Same as a few years back when the floods in Bangkok caused a supply shortage

Tesco, big c and Makro all had stocks of items like milk with a short shelf life yesterday

The sky is not falling in, not yet anyway

The other day Supercheap had virtually no vegetables for sale, but they were available just down the road in Makro

While I had heard the term, I didn't really know what  "Red Ball Express"  was.

Thanks Shot for filling in the gap.

In world war 2, it was the allies supply line, mostly trucks that drove night and day from the coast of France inland.

And as a side note, many Black Americans were assigned to the duty since the army was less than integrated but the leaders were OK with using the manpower for labor tasks, or driving tasks that more or less kept the blacks separate
