PG963 today Bangkok to Samui

Featured Replies

I only know this is not actually a BKK Airways aircraft but a wet-leased (Cockpit foreign, Cabin crew local) aircraft of Austrian airline NIKI. They are flying several routes for BKK Airways atm, as well to Da Nang, for example

This flight is continuing to SIN under the same flight number, and for the USM-SIN leg, another aircraft (HS-PGT) has been assigned already, with a delayed departure time of 15.45 ex USM.

Most likely there was a technical problem and the aircraft had to return to BKK and a spare aircraft will be employed. Years ago I was on a F100 flight of Austrian Airlines and we had to return to VIE airport too. This can take quite some time as the Captain may need to fly around for a while to make sure most kerosene has been consumed so the aircraft is not too heavy upon landing.

It seems that as of now, the aircraft has landed at BKK again. at least that is what the flight path suggests.

Thanks for that siam2007.

Yes - it has returned to Bangkok. Could be medical or technical problem. Hope that my customers are OK!

The unusual tag number and livery on the web site definitely threw me until I saw your explanation. This plane has been used a few times on this route.

Just waiting to hear now for the new flight number and ETA.

Once again, thank you for your input.
