Jimbo2014
Wow - those four pictures of the car and dead body and actual assassination really added visceral content to the story. Maybe give it an R rating on the article and warn me so I dont read this over lunch.

ThaidaGwaii
There is absolutely no indication this has anything to do with gang related activities. You piss somebody off in Thailand, and they just may come and shoot you. I can think of many scenarios for this murder that have nothing to do with drugs, gangs or money lenders and they have already occurred in Thailand the same way. So this guy may just have been short on luck and one of the many sad statistical murders in Thailand.
Chicken George
Happens all over Thailand. Reasons normally envy, greed and theft. Oh and not forgetting the carnage on the roads to add to a high mortality rate.. Here i wpuld think some Thais not getting enough of the pie. TerrylSky
roo86, if you've lived here long enough you will understand that (sometimes) if a Thai loses face over the stupidest little thing - that he created - he can go crazy and kill you - especially if you are a farang that didn't lose face - and he can do it for pennies on the dollar if he won't do it himself... never mind going to jail for life. I sleep with a dog, security cameras, and a 1 meter samurai sword at night; (evertying else is secret); I'm prepared if possible, am cautious, realistic, and not paranoid. Or is that word getting too common in Thailand? No sympathy if it is true he was connected to any "Boiler room" in Pattaya they are just organised thieves and rake a lot of money of gullible tourists and from internet scams.
