BANGKOK: -- Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha has wanted the Dhammakaya case to be resolved quickly through strict enforcement of the law, government spokesman Lt-Gen Sansern Kaewkamnerd said Monday.

He said the prime minister had made it clear that no one is above the law and everyone must come under the law.

He also urged the media to clarify to the public about what has been happening in the temple so that they would not fall victim to the misinformation spread by some unscrupulous followers of the cult.

Meanwhile, senior regional and provincial chief monks headed by Somdet Phra Buddhachinawong held a meeting today to discuss the Dhammakaya problem.

The meeting was the first to be held under the new Supreme Patriach who on Monday chaired a meeting of the Supreme Sangha Council at Buddha Monthon in Nakhon Pathom.

Wrong! He is.  It is in writing.

That is why it is such a mess now.  It should have been resolved properly with quietly staking out the property and far less press conferences

This temple and it's followers is clearly a threat to civil order, you can't have

a country within a country where millions of citizens are governed by

a fugitive form justice cult leader,

There was wane before, also a fugitive from justice, but now he's cowering

in a foreign country for long,

This Dhammakaya issue has to be brought to a satisfactory conclusion

to show that no matter who, law and order must be restored.....

He'd like the mad monk to give himself up  regardless of all of this, Thaksin to disappear off the face of the earth and 6 chicken nuggets.

Words. Everyday just words.

"...He said the prime minister had made it clear that no one is above the law and everyone must come under the law..."

Everyone, it seems, except those covered by a certain self-serving blanket amnesty under their Interim Constitution (to be perpetuated under the so-called "people's" Constitution, whenever it finally gets promulgated) !!!

Whilst it's almost impossible to have any sympathy for the Dhammakaya followers (who appear to be in open defiance of the Law), no matter which way you look at it, it's equally difficult (through Western-eyes) to have any sympathy for those purporting to be the upholders of the Law.

Absolute BS!

The situation has been resolved:

The State has failed to achieve it's publicly announced objective of apprehending the Saffron Wonder.

But it has succeeded in its covert objective, which was to allow him to get away/vanish.

Now there is no need to further upset the "good" people who fervently follow him and who are also the bedrock supporters of the Reactionary State.

The "inneffectiveness" of that state (the unwillingness of its agencies to act.....when it suits them) is a matter of record.

Job done.

If perchance this should happen (lets check the odds 1,000,000 to 1 sounds right) what will the aftermath be?? Another idea is to find a Dhammakaya look alike slip him a little cash and castigate him thoroughly no not castrate.

The picture tells me the law works both ways and this guy's eyes is trying to follow it in both directions.

If this fugitive monk cared about his fellow monks he would turn himself in to prevent violence and possibly blood shed.
