Hi,

I've tried looking at maps and searching forums to no avail. I'm probably being a bit dense, but...........

I arrive at 0600hrs on the train from Udon and need to get to Ekamai or Morchit bus stations to get to Pattaya.

So my Qs are:

which bus station is closest to the northeastern train terminal?

and

does the northeastern train terminal have a skytrain link?

and

if so whats it called?

tks for any help from a newbie

Hard to focus with that avatar.............

Get off at Bang Sue Junction ,thats a few stops south of Don Muang

get a motor bike taxi from left hand side of station. It will go down a track thru a hole in the fence to Morchit bus station. Its about 1 kilometer You could walk it its that close.

There is no skytrain link.

There is a subway at Bang Sue . but it is still no linc to Mor Chit bus station.

I would advise getting off train at Bang Sue Junction as that is very close to Morchit II bus terminal and drive will be going out of town so morning traffic will not be a concern. Most trains are considerably late so 6 may well be 8 rush hour.

The bus system uses the North/South/Eastern terminals but almost all trains go into central Bangkok Hua Lampang Station. Bang Sue will probably be the next stop after Don Muang coming from Udorn.

check if your train stops at Bang Su station - long distance trains don't stop at every single station.

you might have to get off at don muang and taxi to morchit

as I know - there are no such thing as "northeastern train terminal" - there is only Hualamphong, or so to say Central Train Terminal which happens to be the last on the line too. and all other stations are just on the way to it.

regarding Ekamai bus staion - you can take a subway (MRT) train to Sukhumvit and there change it to Sky-train (BTS) towards On-Nut, which will take to exactly to Ekamai station.
