I know there more Threads about this but no one has answered my questions.

I am Totally confused about The TM30 issue. I have 2 slips in the back of my passport both saying we have received Notification of the Alien's address form.

The second one is Dated 11 March 2016

And the first one is Dated 11 December

2015

On the second someone has written on it this 315/119

21.12

I always go to the copy shop next door get them to do my paperwork for me then give them a Tip then hand it in. This then started to include more paper work. Which I assumed was this the correct forms.

A little while after getting the first slip my condo agency asked me to take my passport to them. When I did she said oh you have all ready done it after looking at the slip in my passport.

From Thai Visa I knew you had to be registered at your correct address but because of all the above I assumed I was. And didn't really study the Threads.

So these are my questions are the slips TM30S?

Did I have to go jomiten to register 24hrs after my visa runs? Or was I registered when I did my extensions, and I will now be fined 4000THB.

Assuming those are TM-30 receipts, you are OK if you have not left your province for more than 24 hours since "11 March 2016."   If you have left the country and returned, that will be in their system.  If you have traveled within Thailand, and a hotel filed a TM-30 on you, that would be in their system.  Either of those situations could provide evidence in their database, which would allow them to fine you for not reporting-back within 24 hours upon return.  That said, I don't think anyone knows what percentage of routine extensions are being flagged for this, and the applicants fined.

I have left Thailand at least 3 times since March 2016. So I probably expect to be fined Acording to reports on here about jomiten Immigration. And I actually thought I was following the rules.

If you have done a TM30 in the past, then you maybe lucky in the fact that let it slide or simply see you have one filed and update it. The fines appear to being applied to those of us, and I include myself, that never registered one in the first place. I am not sure if we have a report yet of a fine for failing to update. You could be the test case as it won't be me :)
Good luck, I hope you get away with it with no fine.

Hard to tell, I know my landlord never filled a TM30 and when I did my 90 day report with new address Jomtien registered/updated me and stapled the piece of paper with the future 90 report date into my passport.

I've been doing annual extensions and 90 day reports for many years at Jomtien, last extension in December, without filing a TM30. I give them a copy of my condo chanote and recent monthly statement when applying for the extension and they seem fine with that.

That happened in Jomtien or where?  An interesting statement that "nice bloke" made, it would be interesting to obtain an official version of such statement. Agree it was obvious that sooner or later they would realize they cannot handle the zoo they created any longer. I would be glad to learn they have realized it THAT QUCKLY

"Lay off at least 50% of these public servants, streamline and slim the regulations and visa types while charging i.e. THB 15'000 for a one year visa (half a passport page) without wasting more space for a separate multiple re-entry.  Everybody happy and more, much more money in the state's coffers. "

Excellent post, great ideas......but....TiT.....

How strange is that? Because here we have same office, same day and a 2 hour wait and the complete opposite. Seems strange that there is a 2 hour wait with that many reporting but your told no longer required?

They have found another regulation that can be applied to increase their income,  after all, retirees were supplying a meager 1800 baht/ year. I think we need to wait a little longer to see if this is to be applied across the board, or it is just an enterprising guy improving on his salary. Prior to my next 90 days I think I will do an international trip to postpone this until my next extension renewal. I have stayed at a hotel in Bangkok so I guess I have been flagged.

If it takes an extra 4000 baht next renewal, so be it, by then the situation should be clearer and the  administration established. My completed TM30 has never been accepted before and I have never had a TM30  'receipt' in my passport. Been here over 10 years.

I use Jomtiem.

I never filed a TM30 before, address reporting in Jomtien was only through my extensions. My last address report was arrival card at airport last December... Then 2 travel to another province where the hotel reported me.. And just yesterday been in Jomtien doing my 90d report..

Nobody asked me OR anybody in front of me about a TM28/30...

I went today and I got no fine, they didn't say anything. In and out as normal in about 30 mins. Also I always get the visa for Brition guys to fill out my paperwork for me. This time they didn't do that new form they started doing about a year ago with all the extra info.
